How's Things?

Wheeeew! Is it Friday yet??:) Haha. I am about a month into my student teaching so far and I am absolutely LOVING it. I have such a great time teaching and being able to get to know my students. Their responses they give me in class continue to surprise me and make me laugh. After school Tyson likes to ask me what kinds of things my students have been doing in class lately. So i'll share some funny stories with him and we will laugh about it together. I'm just finishing up my first unit and I'm excited to move on to a new subject.

Though I am having such a great time, I never knew how EXHAUSTING this business is. I come home with aching feet and all I want to do is Go To Bed!:) But unfortunately there is always tomorrows lesson plan... Staring me down... Waiting to be planned... As hard as it is though, I am glad for the challenge and for the things I am learning about myself and the things that I can accomplish.

This weekend, Tyson is playing in a golf tournament down in St. George. He get's to play 2 rounds a golf everyday. Isn't he such a hard worker?... ;) As for Bree and I, we will be at home working on school stuff! Whoo Hoo? Haha
Have a great Weekend!

Student Teaching

I started my student teaching about 3 weeks ago now. I was not sure what to expect and waiting for this time to come made me very anxious! It is kind of weird to think that I am finally here. Going through school I felt like the time for me to be student teaching would never come!

But from now until December I am officially a ......

That's right! I am currently doing my student teaching at Lehi Jr. High teaching 7th grade health and one 7th grade boy's P.E. class. I am absolutely loving the experience. For the most part, the students are Great! I have a really good time getting to know them and I especially love getting the chance to be in a classroom teaching. This coming week is when I will start teaching solo and using all of my own lesson plans. So right now I am planning, planning, planning! Getting all my lesson plans ready and making sure I've got all my materials prepared. It is more work than I originally thought, but I still really enjoy it:)
