It was a good thing that we surfed before eating at Tucanos. We had a fun time at the restaurant and we definitely gorged ourselves! We are so glad to have such great people on the QuickFix team and we had a lot of fun celebrating this holiday season with them all.

A Little Christmas Spirit

I am so very grateful to have a gang like this around the house every now and then....

These kiddos did me a great service today by decorating my Christmas tree. I was feeling like I was never going to feel well enough to get around to decorating, so these guys saved me.

I couldn't have done a better job myself. Big thanks to Bree, Lindsey, and McKay! You guys are awesome.

Thanksgiving 2011

Thanksgiving is one of our favorite time of the year. It's always filled with lots of food, family, and fun activities. In Tyson's family, thanksgiving also means WarBall. WarBall is a long thanksgiving tradition and is played every year, with usually only a few minor injuries:). This year, we got together for the feast at 12 noon and had a large banquet full of tasty treats. The family is so big (or awesome) that we have to hold our thanksgiving in a church to accommodate us all. After eating, the tables were cleared out for WarBall. WarBall is kind of like dodgeball and when you get the Brown boys involved things can get a little competitive.. Just a little.... There were lots of other activities throughout the day like making Indian headdresses, puzzles, drawing, and of course a glow in the dark dance party. People have those at every thanksgiving party right?:). We had such a good time celebrating this holiday with our family and we can't believe it's already over!

Hoppy Day!

While eating breakfast for dinner... We spotted this little friend outside our window! We had a good time chasing him outside in the cold until dad made an amazing snag and then we were able to take him home. He made me smile and reminded me of our first pet Hopscotch:)

3 Years!

Today I have been married to my best friend for 3 years. I can't believe how fast the time has gone. These past three years have held many fun times and many great accomplishments. I feel that each year we get better and better at the whole husband and wife gig. What can i say?.. We make a great team!

I couldn't ask for a better husband. He's the man who makes me laugh, makes me a better person, and who is always there for me no matter what.

Happy Anniversary Tys! Love you forever!

Wedding Weekend

This last week, we were doing a lot of wedding stuff. Tyson's good friend Devin, from his mission, got married and they had a many wedding festivities going on. Tuesday, the boys got together and went to the flowRider and then to Tucanos. Devin and Carly got married on Thursday and we were lucky to be at their wedding ceremony. I say lucky because halfway up to SL I ask Tyson, "did we grab our temple recommends?" The answer to that was a big NO! LUCKILY we made it right on time but we were sure nervous that we weren't gonna make it. Later that night they had an amazing reception at Carlie's parents house and then on Saturday they had another party up in Idaho at Devin's patents house. We had a really good time hanging out with friends, eating awesome food, dancing, and of coarse celebrating Devin and Carlie's marriage.

We actually ended up changing rooms later so our friend Blake could have a place to stay. I woke up at 2AM and the boys had ordered a pizza! Funny night.

They had these awesome paper lanterns that we lit. It was like that scene from tangled.

Before we headed home we checked out the Idaho Falls. It was a really fun weekend! Makes us want to go on more vacations!:)

Cherry Hill

This last weekend, we spent some quality time at cherry hill with the fam. I have very vague memories of the place from when I was little. It's funny how much bigger things feel when you are a kid. We had a good time camping, swimming, and having lots of good treats and laughs. My brother Josh and his wife Patrice invited us up there to camp in their trailer. It was awesome to see us 6 adults fill every square inch of the trailer when it came time to sleeping arrangements.

Bree was sleeping below our bed and she got a good kick in the head when I got up to go to the bathroom one night.

I love being able to spend time with the fam. I didn't get any pictures since we were in the water most of the time but we definitely had a good time!

This next weekend we will be up in Idaho for my family reunion! Very excited to see all the Idaho peeps and have some good fun:)

4th of July

Since we've been married, we've managed to celebrate the 4th of July differently every year, but each year is just as much fun as the last. This year, Tyson's sister Christy and her husband Travis and their cute family invited us up to their cabin to celebrate the holiday. This last winter, they built their amazing cabin by Schofield Resivour.

We headed up on Saturday morning where Christy and I took the kids to the Schofield parade while Tyson went to work. It was a cute and decent sized parade. It only took about 20 minutes which I thought was the perfect amount of time!

(Mason, Jaxon, Nathan, Logan, and Austin) these boys were great at collecting all the candy!

Since there was a cabin full of Browns, of coarse there was a lot of "friendly" competition going on. At the Engar's cabin, they have lots of fun toys which includes mini 4-wheelers. It didn't take long for the boys to establish a track and start conducting relay races. It was very entertaining to watch and I even gave it a go at one point ( I was secretly a little shaky afterwards though)!

Travis demonstrating the "aerodynamic" form

Followed by a victory fist pump!

Josh and Tyson were basically wearing the same outfit so everyone kept getting them confused.

Tyson coming in on the last turn.

Zach, going as fast as he can.

Later that night, Tyson found the legos and so unlike my very non-competitive husband (wink, wink), he just HAD to create the tallest lego tower.

Lined up tallest to shortest from Travis to newborn baby Rowan. I couldn't get all of the people and all of the tower in one shot.

At the cabin, there is a constant buzzing sound outside which we found was made by these little critters

Cicadas!
There were so many of them that the boys were able to trap a whole bunch and we tried to go fishing with them.

I was laughing so hard at Mason cause this was his reaction to me when I told him to "smile".

Tyson and Marabelle saying cheese.

We also had a really fun time catching crawdads. We were pretty successful and Tyson even cooked some up for dinner!

Austin & Mr. Crawdad

I waited for the BBQ instead...

On Sunday, we were able to go to church up in the little town of Schofield. They have a very all branch there and on the 4th of July weekend they get around 500-600 people coming to their building. There were so many people that the members parked there car on the grass and we sat outside under a shade tent for the services.

To the right is the cute little church.

Temporary parking lot.

Since it was so crowded and because we couldn't hear, we put our chaos in a circle and had our own little Sunday school lesson for the kids.

Nathan, Jaxon, Mason & Austin

It was a pretty cool experience to see all the dedicated latter day saints who still made church a priority on their vacations. It just confirms my belief so much that the church is true.

When we got home Monday, we joined some of our neighbors for some fireworks. They had a pretty good collection between them all and it was fun to watch the kids get so excited around the cool explosions.

You know it's the 4th of July when you have sparklers!

Later that night, PG Jr. had a firework show. Instead of competing with the crowds, Me, Tyson, Bree, Lyndsie and her sister Lauren, got onto our roof to watch the show. We had an awesome view and it was crazy to see the whole valley lit up with all the amazing fireworks.

Bree and I on the roof waiting for the show to start.

The 4th of July is one of my favorite time of year. I feel so lucky to live in such a great country and very blessed to have such great people to celebrate these things with!
