Keepin' Busy

Tyson has been really busy lately running his business, so while I'm not working, I'm always looking for a good project to keep me busy:) Lately I have an obsession with thrifting. We have a pretty decent thrift store that opened up just down the street from our house and the owner is always up for a good bargain! Here's what I've been working on.

I made this lamp shade awhile ago. It was fun to make, but I wasn't really lovin' the look of it in our family room.

I've been on the hunt for a new night stand for our bedroom. Found this little guy at the D.I. It just needed a make-over.

Pretty bold, but I LOVE the blue, which is one of the colors I've chosen for our bedroom ReDo.
This one was a little more back-breaking, but very rewarding. This is even half way through!

We can now see our window! This project wasn't as fun as the others, but very rewarding in the end.

Right now I'm in the process of redoing our bedroom. I've done projects on everyroom in our house except our room. It has been really fun, but is moving pretty slow. I've got some ideas that I am so excited to try!

P.S. I bought a projecter at the D.I. for $5! Yeah like the kind we used in school... Can't wait to experiment with it!

Wow What A Weekend!

This weekend was EXTREMELY busy but even more FUN:) I finished school on Thursday but it was not time to relax yet.

On Friday, Tyson graduated from Utah Valley University with a degree in business/finance. I am so proud of him and all the hard work he has done these past years in order to get his degree. Tyson's dad and I went to the graduation convocation to see Tyson walk. It was a really cool experience. Good Job Tys!!

After the graduation, we had a get together at our house to celebrate Tyson's graduation. We had a really good time getting together with our family and friends!

Later that day, we headed up to a friend's wedding and then headed over to our dentist's office to camp out (confused?). Well our dentist office has a day that comes once a year where they offer free dental work for people, like us, who don't have insurance. We wanted to make sure we would be the first in line because we had to be to Jesse's wedding down in Manti the next day by noon. So we loaded our car with our camping gear and headed over to the dentist.

Yup. We were first in line! I felt kind of weird about camping out at a dentist office, but when other people started showing up with their tents it started to feel more like a giant campout:)

Well.... It did rain a little bit;)

After getting only two hours of sleep, we finally got in to get our work done. Tyson had 2 cavities filled and I got my teeth cleaned (no cavities for me!). It was totally worth it.

Soon after the dentist we drove down to Manti for Jesse and Inhae's wedding.

Like I said, we had a really busy weekend. Work, finishing school, graduation, graduation party, wedding, dentist campout, and another wedding. It was such a blast but when Saturday night rolled around we were excited to finally get some sleep:)
